Dr. Andrew Rocco grew up right here in Mill Creek — so when he set out to build a better way to access veterinary care, he built it for the community he's always called home.
After graduating from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, he spent years working in emergency and specialty hospitals, serving as Medical Director at several ER and specialty centers. Over more than a decade in practice, he developed deep expertise in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging.
Working in ERs, something kept bothering him: stable pets with real urgent needs were waiting for hours — or going without care — because they didn't quite fit the emergency mold and couldn't get a same-day appointment elsewhere. North Sound Veterinary Urgent Care is his answer: most of what an ER offers, in the community he grew up in, without the wait or the cost.
Outside the clinic he's cheering on the Everett Silvertips, wrangling his three sons, and being supervised by five cats and a bird.
"Can not thank Dr. Rocco and the team enough with the wonderful service and care provided to my pet. A great experience with a thorough exam of my pet, lab testing and creating a treatment plan. Fantastic and prompt follow up, after the visit as well."
"Dr. Rocco was very kind and has so much experience. He is very smart and really helped my cat. I highly recommend everyone to visit Dr. Rocco. We will always be going to Dr. Rocco and Dr. Rocco's assistant. You guys are awesome."
"Our little english bully Remy was having an issue with her dew claw that she snagged on something at home. They helped avoid a costly emergency room trip. Very efficient and quick turn around."

Full abdominal ultrasounds with specialist radiologist interpretation — coming soon to our facility.
A Non-Invasive Window Inside Your Pet
An ultrasound uses safe, painless sound waves to produce real-time images of your pet's internal organs — similar to the ultrasounds used in human medicine. Unlike X-rays, which are best suited for bones and lungs, ultrasound excels at visualizing soft tissue structures: the liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder, intestines, lymph nodes, and more.
It can detect masses, fluid accumulation, organ enlargement, bladder stones, and many conditions invisible on a standard X-ray — making it one of the most powerful diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine.
We will perform full abdominal ultrasounds at our facility, capturing still images and video clips (cineloops) of each organ. Those are then sent to a board-certified veterinary radiologist for specialist-level interpretation.
Your pet must not eat for 8–12 hours before the appointment. Food in the stomach obscures organ views and reduces image quality.
Pets are typically dropped off. You're welcome to head home or run errands while we take care of everything.
Most pets require light sedation to stay still. The abdomen will be shaved — fur interferes with the probe's contact with the skin.
A board-certified veterinary radiologist reviews all images and provides a written report. Our team will walk you through the findings and next steps.
Compassionate, dignified end-of-life services and cremation through West Coast Pet Memorial — coming soon to our facility.
A Gentle, Peaceful Passing
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest things a pet owner can face. When the time comes, we will be here to make the process as calm, gentle, and dignified as possible — for both your pet and your family.
Euthanasia is a peaceful, two-step process. First, your pet receives a sedative so they drift into a deep, comfortable sleep — completely relaxed and free from anxiety or discomfort. A second medication is then administered, gently stopping the heart. The entire process is quiet and painless.
You are welcome to be present and hold your pet throughout. We'll give your family all the time and space you need, before and after. There is no rush.
Your appointment is given private space and unhurried time. Family members are welcome to be present.
Your pet is fully relaxed with a sedative before any further medication — no anxiety, no discomfort.
Your pet simply falls into a permanent, peaceful sleep. The process is gentle and quick.
We will partner with West Coast Pet Memorial to offer cremation services, so you won't need to make separate arrangements during a difficult time. Our team will coordinate everything on your behalf. Options and details will be discussed at the time of your appointment.
